Read the paper, one number at a time.

A small set of marks with a clear job to do.

Dotted lines show creases

A dotted line shows where to bend the sheet. It does not mean cut. The step text tells you which edge to move and which way to fold.

Numbers match the guide

Do the numbers in order. On First Flick, 2 and 3 each mean a matching pair of folds. 1 and 4 use the same center crease. 7 and 8 are actions, not new creases.

Arrows show movement

Move the indicated paper edge in the direction of the arrow, then compare it with the finished stage. Blue shading distinguishes layers in diagrams; it is not a requirement to use colored paper.

When a mark is hidden

Folded layers can cover a number. Stop and use the guide picture, paper edges, and existing crease to line up the next fold. Do not guess a new crease or unfold everything just to find ink.
